Friday 10 March 2017

There was definitely a ‘Casual Friday’ feel in school today as everyone was not in uniform. We did receive a lot of donations towards the Spring Fayre and on behalf of the PTA I would like to thank everyone for sending them in. The Spring Fayre is just two weeks away now (March 25th) and I know everyone is really looking forward to it. If you can help in any way towards the organisation or running of the fayre please let the school office know and they will inform the PTA who will contact you. Even if you can only give an hour of your time it will be greatly appreciated.

Another great event that is only two weeks away is ‘Red Nose Day’. This is something we always support and at the beginning of next week we will be selling red noses in school. There is a great selection this year and the children always love wearing them. The cost of the noses is £1 and so if you would like your children to buy one they will need to bring a £1 into school and they will be able to purchase a nose when the Year 6 bring them round to their classroom.

Next week we are having a visit in school from a company called ‘Portals from the Past’ who will be providing all the classes with a history workshop. They come highly recommended to us as their workshops are designed to provide the children with an experience to stimulate and encourage a love of history. They are being held on Monday and Tuesday and I am sure that you will hear all about them from your children.

Have an enjoyable weekend. Let us hope that we experience some of the warm weather that we have had this week. I look forward to seeing you all again on Monday.
